Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of paper2md.com ("the Service"), a web application that converts PDF documents into Markdown format. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

paper2md converts PDF files you upload into Markdown, including extraction of text, mathematical formulas, tables, and images. Conversion quality depends on the source document and is provided on a best-effort basis.

2. Accounts

You need an account to use the Service. You are responsible for safeguarding your account and for all activity under it. You must provide accurate information and be at least 16 years old.

3. Plans, Billing & Quota

The free plan includes 100 page conversions per calendar month. The Pro subscription ($6.99/month) includes 2,000 page conversions per month, billed monthly until canceled. Booster Packs ($2.99) add 500 page conversions that never expire. Payments are processed by our merchant of record, Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ). Failed conversions are not counted against your quota. You can cancel a subscription at any time; it remains active until the end of the current billing period.

4. Refunds

If something goes wrong — for example you were charged but did not receive your quota, or the Service is materially not working as described — contact us at support@paper2md.com within 14 days of purchase and we will make it right, including issuing a refund where appropriate. Refunds are not provided for quota that has already been consumed.

5. Acceptable Use

You may only upload documents you have the right to process. You must not use the Service to infringe copyright, distribute malware, attempt to disrupt the Service, or circumvent usage limits.

6. Your Content

You retain all rights to documents you upload and to the converted output. We claim no ownership over your content. Uploaded PDFs are automatically deleted within 1 day; converted outputs are automatically deleted within 7 days.

7. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
